TINA
PASOTRA
Tina Pasotra (b.1985) is a filmmaker and artist based in Cardiff, Wales. A storyteller, Pasotra traverses mediums including moving image, dance, and sound, drawing inspiration from the worlds of design, nature, and movement. Speaking through a language of care, collaboration, and radical acts of love, Pasotra weaves narratives that range from the personal to the vividly reimagined, allowing intuition to guide her practice.

Dance frequently underscores Pasotra’s work, with movement serving as a vehicle through which she extends an outward hand to invite us in. Through the use of space in her work, she considers the physical consequences on the body when moving through varied domestic and natural environments. In these settings, space itself can shift our lived experience of time by prompting the body to recall past, present, future, or imagined encounters.

Pasotra’s work has screened at the London Short Film Festival (2026, 2025), Folkestone Doc Fest (2025), De La Warr Pavilion (2025), ICA (2025), London India Short Film Festival at the Barbican (2021), Chapter Arts (2017, 2025) and Big Dance Film Shorts Science Museum (2017).

In 2025, Pasotra won the Arts Foundation Film Fellowship and was nominated for a Bafta Cymru award in 2021. She has also been supported by Dancing Ledge Productions, Five Acts Productions, Arts Council Wales, British Council, Wales Arts International, BFI, Ffilm Cymru Wales, BBC, C4, and the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
